West Coast Salty Buns is a BBQ Mexican food truck that came to be through a passion for smoked meat cooked low and slow, hearty and fresh flavours and a 1976 Winnebago named Wild Wanda. We pride ourselves on the quality of ingredients we use, with an emphasis on sourcing wild, local seafood, Vancouver Island produce and BC free range or organic meats.

This award-winning restaurant (4th Best New Restaurant in Canada 2019) offers a unique and fun dining experience inspired by the Ucluelet coastline. The small restaurant and open kitchen allow for personal and refined service, with menus that focus on using the best local ingredients. Guests can choose from a three-course dinner menu or the Chef’s tasting menu, complimented by original cocktails and an exceptional wine selection.

Traditional BBQ is what you want? Well, it’s all we got. We cook all of our sustainably farmed, local meats on our offset reverse flow wood fire smoker; honoring the traditional methods of BBQ.
