Watch migrating whales on their journey from Mexico to Alaska and seals who live and feed in the proximity. The ocean view to the south is broken by tree covered rocks and visited by gulls, eagles, loons, cormorants and whales! Tall cedar hedges, trees, bush, and over 20 varieties of mature rhododendrons make up an exquisite and well maintained landscape. Since 1932 a small fisherman’s cottage looked out over the safe harbor of Ucluelet. For 75 years the little cottage survived the winter storms that lashed the coast and stood strong in the long days of summer. Always providing shelter and comfort to the people that called it home. In 2008 the cottage was renovated and refurbished. Now to those that stay and call it home, the same views and sounds can be enjoyed in modern comfort. Private entrance, parking, deep soaker bath tub / shower, private deck with views of the harbor and on request; an early morning call from the local Stellar Sea lions.
