Tourism Ucluelet is now accepting applications for the 2026 Events & Experiences Fund — a program designed to support visitor-facing events and experiences that bring people together, strengthen the local economy, and reflect Ucluelet’s values of sustainability, creativity, and connection to place.
This year, the fund introduces a new application structure that’s designed to be clearer, more efficient, and more predictable for applicants.
A More Structured Approach for 2026
Rather than operating on a continuous rolling intake, the 2026 program features designated application windows. This allows all proposals to be evaluated together, ensures consistent decision-making, and reduces administrative delays throughout the year.
The intake windows for 2026 are:
- Early / Priority Intake (Deadline: February 11, 2026)
Intended for projects that require funding approval in early March in order to proceed. - Primary Intake (Deadline: March 4, 2026)
This is the main intake window and will fund the majority of events and experiences for the year. All applicants — including those planning fall or winter programming — are encouraged to apply at this stage. - Contingency Intake (September 2026, subject to available funds)
This intake will only open if funding remains available later in the year.
What the Fund Supports
The Events & Experiences Fund is open to tourism-related businesses, non-profits, and Indigenous organizations that are registered stakeholders with Tourism Ucluelet. Supported projects include:
- Events and festivals that are open to residents and visitors
- Visitor-facing experiences such as guided tours, self-guided activities, and collaborative packages
- Initiatives that increase shoulder-season visitation, support sustainability or regenerative practices, and strengthen community connection
Successful applicants can receive up to $7,000 in funding, along with in-kind promotional support through Tourism Ucluelet’s marketing channels and Visitor Centre.
