The Melawmen Collective Spring Tour – Ucluelet – ANAF

Contemporary Indigenous hip hop cross genre fusionists The Melawmen Collective, officially released their first studio recorded album, “Fire In The Lake”, on September 26th 2025, at the 2 Rivers Remix Festival, and are now embarking on the first leg in a series of tours starting on Vancouver Island, leading to the Southern Interior of BC.

“The Melawmen Collective’s hub is in Secwepemc territory, where 5 of the members are from, and 2 of them are also Nuu-Chah-Nulth, and so it is a great honor for us to tour in, around, and beside the beautiful territory of our peoples and the places we call home, to celebrate the release our first studio recorded album here with our family, friends and communities during the coming of the spring blossoms and the returning of the whales. The word Melawmen in Secwepemc language means ‘medicine’ and we have collected our musical medicine for over a decade, to bring as a gift to all”. – Meeka Morgan
