Since purchasing 1728 Peninsula Rd (the old Murray’s Grocery building)\, we have secured some funding to renovate the building into a facility for visitors and community members. \nWe have been working hard over the last year preparing for this project to commence\, working with local artists to create informative and interactive exhibits focusing on this region\, history\, land use\, ecology\, stewardship and culture. We’ve been coordinating all the logistics and preparing to submit our Building Permit this month. \nIn the year to come we will be carrying out an exciting renovation on the building to incorporate bathrooms\, interpretive and event spaces\, and a gift shop all while retaining our café and bringing some more light into the building. We hope you can come and check out what we’ve got planned\, see the space before it’s redone and offer any feedback for us. We want to create a space that’s welcoming and enjoyed by all.\nThere will be Backyard Burgers set up (4-8pm)\, and drinks for purchase. It’s an all-ages event with lots to do for kids. Everyone’s welcome to come and learn!
