West Coast Salty Buns is a BBQ Mexican food truck that came to be through a passion for smoked meat cooked low and slow, hearty and fresh flavours and a 1976 Winnebago named Wild Wanda. We pride ourselves on the quality of ingredients we use, with an emphasis on sourcing wild, local seafood, Vancouver Island produce and BC free range or organic meats.

This award-winning restaurant, recognized as the 4th Best New Restaurant in Canada in 2019 and consistently celebrated among the country’s top dining destinations, offers an intimate tasting menu only experience inspired by the Ucluelet coastline. The small dining room and open kitchen create a refined yet personal atmosphere, where guests are guided through a seasonal progression of dishes that highlight the best local ingredients.
